Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities: Plans, directs, and implements manufacturing processes in plant as assigned. Supports department performance with real time problem solving, coordinating technical resources as required. Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Processes in support may include machining, assembly, automation and testing. Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades. Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures.
Provides thorough instructions for process operation and changes. Conducts risk assessments, support APQP toolbox methods. Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods... and quality assurance standards. Analyzes and designs; workflow, staffing utilization, space requirements for maximum efficiency.
Utilizes process simulation software to test and find the most appropriate production strategies. Assembles reports to document process status and changes. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Communicates findings and proposals to upper management. Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.Minimum Requirements: BS Degree in Engineering or Equivalent 3 years previous experience in manufacturing assembly process engineering Previous experience working with CAD and AutoCAD, PFEMA/Control Plans (IQS), Process Data/Results related Programs (Data base), Project management Programs (CDB)Company DescriptionHengst of North America is an independent and wholly owned subsidiary of Hengst Group with global Headquarters in Muenster Germany.
