Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Market Leader- Pennsylvania will work at both a strategic and tactical level with end-to-end ownership of the P&L in their designated geography. This role will collaborate with internal and external partners in support of delivering high quality service in a compliant environment with a focus on growth in their designated geographic area. The role will also work across the matrix functions of the Field Support Center (corporate) to ensure a reliable and consistent operating environment.


  • Support company and geographic growth targets:
    • Works with the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Growth and Development Officer to identify possible areas of organic and inorganic growth
    • Develops and manages relationships with referral sources, geographic industry leaders, and various industry consortium groups to support growth objectives
    • Understands competitive situation for the geographic region and identifies opportunities for growth
    • Ensure best in class recruitment and retention of caregivers in geographic region
    • Works collaboratively with other departments (compliance, legal, HR, finance, marketing) as needed in support of effective field operations to achieve growth targets
  • Ensure compliance with Local, State, Federal and Company regulations, policies and procedures:
    • Monitors state and contractual requirements and ensures compliance
    • Takes specific actions jointly with Compliance and Quality Lead to continuously improve and while building a culture that supports quality and compliance in everyday actions
    • Ensure audits and post-incident management of risk & financial exposure is maintained to the standards of the organization
  • Maintain operational excellence:
    • Ownership of geography KPIs including the development and delivery of internal reporting packages, including reporting to senior management
    • Support of short-term and long-term business planning efforts including metrics, measurements, key performance indicators and reports

    • Maintains appropriate expense management for geographic region in support of company objectives
    • Responsible for escalation of business issues, whether operational or financial (revenue, collections, etc.)
    • Performs operational reviews and organizes audits with Area Directors to determine inefficiencies and build best-in-class processes
    • Assists in development of company-wide initiatives to differentiate and improve service and operational efficiencies; communicates & implements those initiatives within the regions
  • Sets and executes strategy:
    • Develops & reviews geographic strategy with COO in support of company objectives
    • Develops execution plan in conjunction with local geographic team
    • Responsible for implementation and execution of the strategy and monitors progress in all areas: quality, margin improvement, KPIs, staffing, external and internal relationships & industry
  • General Management:
    • Contributes to broad company objectives and prioritization, including support of implementation of key business process and technology changes
    • Champion for change and improvement initiatives within geography
    • Provides constructive input, innovative ideas, and other solutions to improve business results
    • Develops and mentors key leaders
    • Recruits and retains outstanding talent externally and internally
    • Joint ownership of people development and performance management program with HR for engagement, growth, and succession
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ten plus years of leadership experience with responsibility for area/region & multiple locations
  • Ability to collaborate, inspire & hold others accountable
  • Proven ability to work across a matrix and multi-site environment
  • Experience supporting senior management including thought leadership and support
  • Collaborative style as a thought partner who works productively with the leadership team
  • Process improvement experience supporting the development, review, and revision of processes and policies as needed
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in fast paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and ability to support strategic transformation activities
  • Exhibition of the highest ethical standards while demonstrating accountability and ownership

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience in homecare, healthcare, healthcare services with private equity ownership preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to travel approximately 75% within geographic area
