C/MS Technician/Certifying Scientist

We are an established chemistry/hematology reference laboratory starting a toxicology department. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to have a hand in building the department from day one. He/she will be working directly with our laboratory director (who has completed several toxicology lab start-ups in the past) on equipment verification, writing SOPs, etc. Once the initial department setup is complete, he/she will be responsible for day-to-day toxicology operations.

The right person will be:

• Very detail-oriented
• Able to work with minimal supervision on daily tasks
• Have a desire to deliver outstanding levels of care to our patients and customer service to our clients
• Able to work well as part of a larger team

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field required

Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with AB Sciex LC/MS equipment

Knowledge of toxicology, medications and drug metabolism required

Certifications:

MT/MLS (ASCP) certification preferred but not required

Shift:

Monday – Friday: 9 am to 6 pm

*Must be available for occasional overtime or weekend shifts as needed
