Hegira Health's Adult Outpatient Services located in Westland Michigan is aim to help each person pursue meaningful life goals and reach his/her full potential. Our Clinicians are here to help adults with mental illness is competent to provide services to persons with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorder. Treatment teams work together with each individual to ensure that assessments and treatment approaches are person-centered, comprehensive and focused on maximizing each individual's recovery potential.
We are currently seeking talented clinicians with passion for our clients and their families to work and grow with our team. We offer FT salaried positions with benefits. We are currently providing services via telehealth, in-office or from-home, and on-site. Office hours are flexible to meet individual's professional, lifestyle, and health needs.
Minimum Education And Experience Required:
The SMI Therapist shall have, at minimum, a master’s degree from an accredited college or university, specializing in psychology, social work, or guidance and counseling. He/she shall obtain and/or maintain current, appropriate licensure/ certification issued by the State of Michigan. In addition to documented educational training, the SMI Therapist shall have provided direct treatment services to adults in a behavioral health inpatient or outpatient setting for not less than 18 months, of which at least 6 months was spent working with adults with co-occurring disorders, within the past 3 years. In addition to direct work experience, the SMI Therapist shall, minimally, demonstrate (1) basic knowledge of diagnostics, psychopharmacology, and supportive treatment approaches as applied to a severely mentally ill (SMI) adult population; and (2) knowledge of the identification and treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. Co-Occurring Disorder experience desired; Limited licensure considered for the position. Limited licensure candidates need three years post masters direct SMI experience.

Following CDC guidelines. Monitoring symptoms for all staff and patients on site. Additional cleaning and sanitizing in place. Social distancing is monitored. Telehealth is used to provide access and distance without contact.
