Pay Range: $18 - $19

Paid time off includes a progressive PTO program. After 90 days of service, 9 days of PTO which may be carried over to next service year. At anniversary date, 16 PTO days are given. PTO is accrued on a schedule of one additional day per year up to five years, thereafter, one additional day for every two years, to a maximum PTO accrual of 26 days after 16 years of service. Maximum PTO carryover to the following year is current year PTO accrual.

About the Position

We are looking for an Assembler Technician I to assemble electro-mechanical equipment, wire harnesses, and accessories in accordance with provided documentation (work instructions, schematics, pictures, and special instructions) and standard manufacturing procedures. Test and analyze individually assembled components prior to in-process inspection.

  • Perform assembly of manufactured electro-mechanical equipment (face plates, base blates, sub-assemblies, wiring, and circuitry) in accordance with provided documentation (schematics, pictures, and special instructions) and standard manufacturing procedures.
  • Provide input for production process improvement.
  • Test and troubleshoot manufactured assemblies and equipment to correct abnormal conditions before presenting completed bonder to quality control.
  • Perform facilities maintenance, upgrades, and new installations, as directed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • Participate in work area clean-up activity at end of day and end of week.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation including work orders and time clock punches.
  • Document and account for all materials used and time expended.
  • Verify bills of materials to reflect actural parts used or configuration changes.
  • Initiate Non-conformance Reports (NCRs) parts and required documentation and submit to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain expected productivity and quality standards that make financial returns possible for the Company to continue to provide excellent service to our customers and job opportunities and career growth for our staff.
Requirements
  • Completion of a six-month electronics, electrical, or mechanical training program or one year of technical/electrical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to assemble and self-test electro-mechanical equipment and perform quality control functions.
  • Ability to use a personal computer to perform light data entry.
  • May be required to upload embedded software programs.
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple instructions.
  • Ability to effectively relay information one-on-one to other employees and management.
  • Ability to apply concepts of arithmetic and algebra.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and have excellent hand-to-eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required fingers, hands, and arms to manipulate and shuffle documents and use writing instruments. The employee is regularly required to walk, stand, balance, sit for prolonged periods, speak clearly, and hear. The employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, reach, bend and crouch. The employee must regularly turn and twist while holding 25 pounds and lift and/or move 35 pounds.
