The Chief Nursing Officer will plan, organize, and direct patient care services for hospital-wide departments. The Chief Nursing Officer will manage all operations of these services including managing and determining the types and number of nursing personnel and staff. The Chief Nursing Officer will also oversee the development and maintenance of nursing service objectives, standards of care, and policy and procedures.
The Chief Nursing Officer will work alongside senior nursing staff to improve the quality of care. The Chief Nursing Officer will manage fiscal responsibilities and will ensure budgets are met and maintained within the hospital. Plans, organizes and directs the provision of patient care services in the Med/Surgery/ER/OB/Social Services/Infection Control/Home Health /Pharmacy/ Hospice/QA/UR/Med Staff Departments. The CNO shall be responsible for the operation of the services, including determining the types and numbers of nursing personnel and staff necessary to provide nursing care for all areas of the hospital. Within the PCMH Organizational Chart, the CNO also oversees the anesthesia, employee health, laboratory, physical therapy, radiology, and respiratory therapy departments. CNO will also be responsible for developing and maintaining nursing service objectives, standards of care, policy and procedures. The CNO will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Texas
Bachelors degree required
Masters degree preferred
3 years experience as a Chief Nursing Officer required
