Sunrise Services is in need of a Medical Assistant for their Geriatric Transitions and Expanded Community Services teams.
This position will complete administrative and clinical tasks to support our Psychiatric ARNP and Mental Health Professionals.
Duties may include: Collect initial demographic and health related data from clients, obtain blood pressure, heart rate, weight and other bio-medical information, administer injectable medications to clients, complete authorization and reauthorization requests to insurance entities for prescribed medications, and coordination of care with clients, families, caregivers, primary care providers, pharmacies, residential providers (adult family homes, skilled nursing facilities), etc. This position entails a combination of outreach and in office work – you will travel at least 50% of the time to visit clients in their home.
This position requires that candidates be Certified Medical Assistants, or the ability to become certified, with both clinical and administrative skills and experience. Mental Health experience, including experience working with older adults, is preferred but not required. Must have a clean driving record.
