Client Services Manager

Job Summary:

The Client Services Manager is the main point of contact for post implementation clients. The client service manager must organize and run all projects/initiatives aimed at enhancing the revenue cycle functions to maximize client profitability, understand and continuously assess all client operational processes, be able to navigate the client’s practice management system, and promote the partnership between client and HIS. This individual will also assist reporting and operations leadership in preparing for regular revenue cycle performance reviews with multiple physicians/practices/specialties.

Essential Functions and Job Duties:

· Responsible for overall management of the client

· Remove roadblocks, address client/vendor concerns, organize, project manage priorities with clients, and partaking in implementation processes

· Identify gaps and recommendations for performance improvement on behalf of the client

· Develop and maintain processes enabling a positive client/vendor relationship

· Run quarterly physician finance meetings, monthly operational meetings, and bi-weekly project meetings

· Establish communication pathways at all levels of the client (physician, C-suite, Director, front line)

· Maintain a thorough understanding of current system applications and industry best practice benchmarks and sources

· Advise and consult with senior management and leadership on the appropriate use of technology and resources to drive business success

· Identify key financial trends; including productivity, denial trending, A/R health

· Working closing with client and internal operations to ensure client satisfaction

o Areas of focus include: registration, coding, claims, denials, reimbursement, cash applications, & practice management

Computer Skills and Software used:

· Microsoft Office

· Allscripts, Epic, GE Centricity, Care Tracker, SRS, Exscribe

· Multiple payment system knowledge

· Multiple technologies within the revenue cycle

Reporting Structure:

Reports directly to the Director, Client Services & Strategic Projects

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education and Training:

· Previous knowledge of Full-Cycle Revenue Management

· Bachelor’s degree

· Knowledge of coding including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes

· Proficient with MS Office and project management tools

Skills and Aptitudes:

· Patient and positive personality

· Proficient in relevant computer applications

· Superior knowledge of medical insurance billing practices and able to clearly explain to clientele

· Strong communication skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

· Previous experience in a customer service environment

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment

· Knowledge of appropriate ICD and CPT codes.
