SUMMARY

This is a 9-month, temporary nurse position (LPN or RN) supporting the COVID-19 immunization efforts through vaccine administration, community outreach, and coordination of vaccine clinics. This position may work a set schedule that is between 20- 40 hours per week, based on employee’s availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Travel to outreach sites and to clinics within Fayette County to administer the vaccine
  • Conduct community outreach to inform and educate about COVID-19 and immunizations
  • Administer the COVID-19 vaccines and monitor patient for potential adverse reactions
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating workflow of COVID-19 vaccine clinics
  • Collaborate with other health workers to identify and provide vaccine education to patients and the community
  • Review, collect and file patient information
  • Replenish vaccine supplies
  • Organize vaccination paperwork and reference materials

JOB REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold a current nurse license valid in the state of Kentucky
  • Must be current and active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Must have and maintain certification in Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support
  • 1+ years related experience including immunizing and providing quality care to patients
