Position Summary

The Director of Product will report directly to the VP of Product and is primarily responsible for overseeing, directing, and advancing product strategy. In this role you will be in charge of working closely with the development team to ensure predictable product delivery and communicating project status, and Solutions Engineering where they will be responsible for working with clients and partners to develop new integrations to support integrated payment needs. The Director ensures products meet the needs of the organization's members and external clients. This role includes a balance of strategic collaboration with the company management team members, key client, project personnel and budget management, as well as hands-on day-to-day implementation. The Director of Product is responsible for overseeing the creation, development, and final product in a SaaS and technology environment. This role will require a deep understanding of the Patient Revenue Cycle – from Scheduling, Patient Access/Registration, Front Desk Ops, Revenue Cycle, Post-Visit Patient Billing processes. Additionally, knowledge of the payments industry, including gateway technology, merchant acquiring, PCI compliance, and providing APIs to third party developers.

The Director of Product will deliver a multiyear portfolio strategy and lead the product team in developing roadmaps to support the realization of the portfolio vision.

Requirements
  • Manage product lifecycle from concept to launch across all products within the healthcare vertical
  • Create a unified and cohesive product vision across the complete solutions portfolio and lead the overall efficiency of our product development process, meeting key product and business goals
  • Lead, Coach, and Develop senior Product team members to ensure a healthy and successful team environment
  • Ensure consistent improvement and quality in product solutions for a diverse client base
  • Oversee and effectively collaborate with internal, cross-departmental teams to ensure successful, predictable product releases
  • Develop product delivery forecasts and budgets
  • Partner with IT to deliver successful product releases
  • Develop and drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of SaaS solutions in the Healthcare industry
  • Support Healthcare clients and ISV partners looking to build integrations to the Health iPASS and broader Sphere payments platform, including development against Sphere APIs and the boarding and implementation of merchants
  • Ensuring all products maintain compliance with all pertinent regulatory requirements
  • Establish and track key metrics to monitor product usage and profitability

Required Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive Product Leadership in Healthcare and/or Payment Processing
  • Experience in providing Healthcare SaaS products preferably in the Patient Revenue Cycle space
  • Experience with Healthcare Operations – from Scheduling, Patient Registration/Check-in, Front Desk Ops, all aspects of the Revenue Cycle
  • Experience working with EMR/PM Systems and integrations to platforms such as Epic, athenahealth, Allscripts, NextGen, Greenway PrimeSuite, etc.
  • Experience working with all aspects of Payment Processing including the full lifecycle of a payment
  • Agile and Waterfall development methodology experience
  • Deep expertise in Healthcare is preferrable
  • Significant experience in managing an API platform, consumer and B2B technology
  • Experience partnering with IT and other internal stakeholders to accomplish projects such as new product implementations

  • Proven track-record in building, developing, and motivating successful Product, Development, or PMO teams

  • Proven strategies for creating, developing, and managing successful Products
  • Proven strategies for defining and maintaining project management standards across an organization
  • Ability to communicate product roadmaps into digestible and relevant presentations to key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen across trends and technologies
  • Deep understanding of the Healthcare and Payments industries which translates to skills in identifying issues and opportunities quickly and before the competition
  • Demonstrated success providing products and technology for Large Healthcare systems or Ambulatory practices
  • Navigate client and partner needs to determine product fit and execute on delivery
  • Data-driven approach towards project prioritization, resource utilization, and performance management
