Purpose of the JobThe Employer Group Consultant will perform advance level financial risk analysis, and develop employer group reporting models using skills and techniques in conformance with established underwriting policies, procedures and methodologies.This position will work closely with Underwriting Management, as well as Clinical and Sales teams.The Employer Group Data Analyst will support Health New England's ability to achieve its financial and strategic goals with employer group reporting and presentations to large experience rated groups.The level of work performed by this position has a direct impact on revenue generation for the company and inaccurate work has negative financial, regulatory and operational consequences.The Employer Group Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining and adhering to internal controls, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and following Health New England's entity level policies and procedures.The position is... responsible for reporting unethical or fraudulent activity related to business operations and adhering to Health New England's Code of Conduct.AccountabilitiesChampions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Health New England's relationships, systems and knowledge.Understand how Health New England's culture and the CX Promise should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Health New England's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Associate Handbook, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, and conduct.Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environmentEmployer Group Reporting - 60%Assesses the experience rated group risk through review of group-specific claims and utilization compared to benchmarksConsults with Sales, Clinical and Finance teams and provides both internal and external subject matter expertise and supportUnderstands the strategic implications of the competitive marketplace and product offeringsProvides regular consultation and prepared presentations to over 25 large ASO and experience rated groups and their brokers on a regular basisInternal Financial Reporting - 20%Researches benchmarks and creates book of business reportingDevelops strategic revisions to existing reportingOther - 20%Provides support and back-up to senior financial underwritersSupports Underwriting model maintenanceEducation / Experience / Other InformationBA, concentrations in Business, Actuarial, Finance, Math or relevant healthcare experienceClinical or other client consulting background is desired but not requiredWorking ConditionsWork in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.Moderate / 25% travel is required upon return to the office
