supervisory and managerial authorities over the Mission Support
Inspections Branch.

QUALIFICATIONS: In order to qualify, you must meet the
specialized experience requirements described in the Office of
Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General
Schedule Administrative and Management Positions for General
Inspection, Investigation, Enforcement, and Compliance Series,
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1)
year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or
equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience
includes the ability to comprehend organizational leadership
requirements and implement policies, instructions and directives for
consistent accomplishment of agency requirements; experience in
completing the duties and responsibilities described with the
position; possess technical competencies to perform identified
functional position requirements; and make sound, well informed, and
objective decisions while perceiving the impact and implications of
decisions, and committing to actions to accomplish organizational
goals. Experience may include supervises the development, planning
and execution of scenarios for Nuclear Surety Inspections (NSI),
Operational Readiness Inspections (ORI) and Compliance Inspections
(CI), translating and incorporating inputs from Medical, Public
Affairs, Intelligence, AF Office of Special Investigations (OSI),
Security Forces, Contracting, Personnel, Civil Engineers, Chaplain,
Acquisitions, Finance, Services, Communications, Base Defense,
Logistics Readiness, Transportation, Supply, Legal and Safety
functional disciplines to ensure operational effectiveness,
efficiency and compliance with all governing laws, directives,
regulations, instructions and guidance. Provides direct oversight
for the planning and direction of inspections related to
installation/unit involvement in the Personnel Reliability Program
(PRP), ensuring compliance with DoD, Air Force and AJCOM policies
and directives. Formulates, documents, and administers MAJCOM
Inspection policy, directives and guidance.
POSITIONS:** Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable
time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at
the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements
for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position
or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will
be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills,
abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of and understanding of the current mission(s),
capabilities, organizational construct and operations of the HQ
AFSPC Inspector General Directorate. Must have knowledge of AFSPC
operations, logistics, medical and support functions. Knowledge of
current system software used at the organization to include
operating system and application software packages, including PIMR,
AIMWTS , AFCITA, Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology
Application (AHLTA) Composite Health Care System (CHCS I and II),
Defense Travel System and IG Central. Knowledge of Air Force
Incident Management System (AFIMS) procedures, Exercise Evaluation
Team (EET) functions, Self-Aid and Buddy Care (SABC), Antiterrorism
and Force Protection (ATFP) requirements, and Ability to Survive and
Operate (ATSO) requirements. Knowledge of the Air Force Fitness
Program, Suicide Prevention Program, Drug Abuse Testing Program,
Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program, and Voting
Assistance Program. Knowledge of Status of Resources and Training
System (SORTS), Electronic Status of Resources and Training System
(ESORTS), Air Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool (ART), deployment
planning and execution , Unit Type Code (UTC) concepts of
operations, and the USAF Supply Manual in regards to War Reserve
Materiel (WRM) equipment and supplies.

defend inspection results and requirements, to include developing
alternatives, planning requirements and recommendations to resolve
problems regarding policy and guidance.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for
appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify
the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total
number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience,
including volunteer work done through National Service Programs
(i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g.,
professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community;
student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical
competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable
training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including
volunteer experience.

**Current or Former Federal Civilian Employees (Includes current Air
Force employees):** You are required to submit legible copy/copies
of your last or most recent SF-50, Notification of Personnel Action,
(block 24 must be a "1" or "2" AND block 34 must be a"1").
Additionally, if you are applying for a higher grade (GS) and your
SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly
demonstrate you meet the one year time-in-grade requirement so you
will need to provide an SF-50 which clearly demonstrates you meet
the time-in-grade requirements (examples of appropriate SF-50s
include Promotions, Within-grade Grade/Range Increases, and SF-50s
with an effective date more than one year old)
