We are an outpatient psychotherapy clinic located in West Knoxville (www.havencounselingcenter.com) with a mission to serve the wider Knoxville community, and have a particular focus on serving those looking for faith-sensitive services. Founded in 2015 as Haven Family Psychiatry, our practice is now solely offering counseling/psychotherapy services while our medication management partners have expanded to a secondary location beginning in February 2020. We are a growing practice and currently have over 7 part-time and full-time counselors/therapists. We are looking for additional providers to join our group to provide psychotherapy/counseling services. Full-time applicants are preferred, though part-time applicants will be considered.
Minimum of a master’s degree in a behavioral health field (counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, psychology, etc.) with eligibility for licensure in independent clinical practice in Tennessee (LPC-MHSP, LMFT, LCSW, etc.). If not fully licensed, then therapist must be in active supervision working towards independent licensure. Clinic has established therapists available to consider new supervisees for both Tennessee LPC-MHSP and/or LMFT licensure.
Willingness to engage with, and be led by, the counseling director and other members of the clinic’s leadership team.
Willingness to engage and collaborate with other members of the psychotherapeutic staff of the clinic.
Ability to adjust work schedule as required.
Must be willing to work some evening hours.
Commitment to providing faith-sensitive treatment to clients and commitment to fulfilling the mission objectives of the clinic (see mission statement here).
Prior experience in a psychotherapy office/clinic environment preferred.
Prior experience with electronic health records preferred.
Clinicians with specializations in any of the following areas are preferred: sexual dysfunctions/addictions, substance abuse, trauma work (specifically with EMDR training), child therapy, disordered eating, and couples/family therapy.
Pay and Support:
Therapist/Counselor shall be a W-2 employee of the clinic. The clinic shall provide office space, office furnishings, billing services, access to an electronic health record (EHR) for charting of client encounters, and support in marketing therapist’s services.
Clinic offers generous pay disbursements to therapist/counselors based on collected client fees, with increased disbursement percentages based on caseloads, licensure, and employment time with clinic.
Full-time therapist/counselors with the clinic are expected to engage in at least approximately 20 to 25 sessions per week when at full capacity.
