We don't just treat the symptoms of mental illness or addiction; our care focuses on the whole person.Position Summary:The Director, Accounting is responsible for the coordination... supervision, and management of Haven's centralized accounts payable and payroll processes, ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of accounts payable and payroll for locations in multiple states, monitoring these departmental functions to ensure appropriate control procedures are established and followed, and maintaining internal controls within third party accounts payable and payroll/time and attendance software.
This position requires exceptional analytical skills and strategic thinking to lead a cross functional team toward the development and execution of improved processes and procedures.Position Details: Ability to coordinate and manage multiple outside consultants and employees toward timely completion of weekly payrolls and accounts payable check runs as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings. Ability to educate and communicate accounts payable and payroll guidance to various levels of the company. Ability to communicate professionally with employees at all levels of the organization and outside consultants.
Ability to analyze current state processes, think strategically, and lead a cross functional team toward the development and execution of improved processes and procedures. Supervise consolidated accounts payable process ensuring that invoice processing and payment are completed timely, vendor relationships are maintained, and document storage complies with company policies and IRS regulations. Lead continuous accounts payable training initiatives for company employees and supervisors.
Serve as project lead for accounts payable related projects, including continuous development of processes that are scalable and support the company's growth. Establish new vendors in accounts payable system. Review and approve daily accounts payable batches.
Facilitate accounts payable accrual reporting to Financial Operations. Track taxable reimbursement items processed through accounts payable. Oversee 1099 year end reporting process.
Oversee tracking of unclaimed property related to accounts payable disbursements. Provide assistance in accounts payable process as needed. Actively manage payroll personnel to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with established financial, legal, and contractual requirements.
Enhance weekly and monthly reporting of payroll, benefits and workforce information to enable timely decision making. Collaboratively work with cross-functional leadership team as well as with outside vendors to develop and launch new processes. Perform analysis, generate reports and assist the leadership team with special projects that will streamline processes and improve procedures.
