Our company is searching for a reliable, detail-oriented, and talented Junior Designer. We are looking for someone who is excellent with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Lightroom, and who takes pride in working efficiently and collaboratively, staying organized, and creating impressive designs.
This person will be responsible for helping create mural designs that fit the clients’ vision, researching references and inspiration, creating elevations and room mockups, drawing vector images, producing stencils and giant transfers, website and marketing design, photo retouching, photobashing, assisting with mural production, and more. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with a variety of styles, and have a strong interest in murals and interior design!
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Creating elevations and architectural layouts (training included)
Expertly create design mockups using the principles of design and an eye for aesthetics
Organize design files in accordance with existing workflows and naming conventions
Collaborate with the Art Director and Sales Department to achieve a joint vision
Ability to follow instructions, take on a variety of different tasks, and keep the workday organized and efficient in order to hit deadlines
Conduct work with a high level of professionalism
Expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Knowledge of GSuite, MacOS
Knowledge of Lightroom, InDesign a plus
Website design, UI/UX knowledge a plus
Ability to iterate upon designs and mockups based on feedback
Staying up to date on industry trends
Content Creation for Social Media
Utilizing brand kits when appropriate
Receive critique openly, and constantly strive to perform duties faster, better, and more beautifully
In the Studio
Work alongside the Studio Manager in the Studio
Create digital layouts for the Production department such as color, transfer & stencil layouts, projections, etc. (training included)
Produce stencils and giant transfers
Assist when needed to produce Studio assets
Coordinate with the Studio Manager and Artists to deliver correctly formatted files
Photography/videography, or willingness to learn
Using technology such as a computer, cintiq, printer, projector, perforating tools and stencil cutting machines

When needed, attend on-site or internal meetings to discuss projects
Attend educational workshops/classes to develop professional and technical skills

Consciously maintain a friendly and professional demeanor. Must work well with others and help to maintain a peaceful workplace

Duties performed at studios (Lake Balboa & DTLA), and different job sites in LA and surrounding counties, and possible travel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
Ability to operate a computer and other productivity machinery, such a copy machine, printer, perforation tools, projectors, etc.
Constantly communicates with vendors, clients, staff members, therefore must be able to communicate, converse with and exchange information
Must be able to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize and assess from long distances
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Ability to uphold the stress of driving and traveling
