Duties & Responsibilities: We are a quantitative biology research group interested in how cells and organisms interpret their environment, and the spatial, temporal modulation of environmental cues. We are looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team with experience in molecular biology and tissue culture. The technician will contribute to the intellectual development of a project, attend and present at lab meetings, and have opportunities to take part in publications.
- Culture, propagation and differentiation of various cell lines, including mouse and human pluripotent stem cells and HEK cells
- Tissue handling, processing for immunofluorescence imaging
- Molecular biological techniques, including DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, and cloning
- Basic fabrication of PDMS devices
- Participation in general laboratory responsibilities, including ordering and organizing laboratory supplies and ensuring maintenance of equipment
