PARALEGAL COMMERCIAL TRANSACTION

Hartford Law office seeks Experienced transactional paralegal to assist with commercial lending, corporate and real estate transactions. Paralegal will provide legal and administrative support to Firm Principal who has responsibility over corporate and commercial real estate transactions.

Duties:

• Prepare legal documents and correspondence for attorney
• Preparation of commercial loan and closing documents
• Drafting and monitoring closing checklists
• Overseeing and organizing commercial loan files from commitment through closing
• Reviewing title reports, surveys and organizational documents
• Preparation of title insurance policies
• Prepare initial drafts of Purchase and Sale Agreements
• Facilitating communication between all parties of transaction, including lenders attorneys, title companies, and tenants
• Prepare documents for corporate, partnerships and limited liability companies
• Creating and maintaining corporate minute books
• Preparing documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulations to conduct business activities including obtaining federal EIN
• Secure signatures on contracts and documents such as power of attorney forms, estate documents, assignments and declarations
• Perform other paralegal duties and special projects as may be assigned

Requirements

• Ability to draft legal correspondence.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• The ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Complete discretion and ability to work with confidential information
• High level of initiative and the ability to work independently
• Positive, pro-active, professional attitude
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and organization skills
