Job Description

The Human Resources Associate provides coordination for talent acquisition and program delivery for onboarding and other employee development efforts.  The incumbent is responsible for administering employee related transactions and data including payroll, benefits, time and attendance and the maintenance of employee records. 

Essential Duties &


·       Provides administrative support and coordination of employee recruiting, new staff onboarding, employee engagement and development.  Conducts outreach manages candidate contact and screening, and assists with interviews.   Coordinates staff learning opportunities and performance development programs. Develops and delivers onboarding, trainings, career development resources and employee engagement activities;

·       Responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll for all employees ensuring accurate calculations for payroll and benefit calculations, recording payroll and benefit entries to the financial systems, and processing payments to all related vendors;

·       Responsible for the employee time and attendance system including serving as the liaison to system vendor and providing communications and training to employees and supervisors to assist in the timely and accurate recording of information;

·       Serves as key contact for all employee inquiries on payroll and benefits;

·       Responsible for maintaining accurate employee records in accordance with regulatory and Foundation policies

·       Processing travel and expense employee reimbursement requests and verifying compliance with Foundation policies;

·       Responding to salary surveys and other requests for employee related data including annual census;

·       Serves as backup for processing vendor and grant payments;

·       Similar duties as required.

Education and Experience

Degree requirement can be substituted with equivalent practical experience


·       Associates or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

·       Two or more years of experience in human resources administration and recruitment, preferably in the non-profit sector

·       Experience working with HRIS and Microsoft suite of products, database demonstrated proficiency in Excel.
