Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our team. This role will be able to successfully:

  • Develop high-quality secure code and is responsible for any technical debt (design debt or code debt), that is incurred as a result of their development activities.
  • Eliminate existing technical debt and rewriting issues to remove bad designs and security issues from the code base.
  • Design, develop, and deploy software in accordance with industry best practices. This includes, but is not limited to, following 12 Factor App development practices (, cloud native (, NIST Risk Management Framework, building/deploying microservices on OpenShift Platform, and deploying software with zero downtime.
  • Perform alpha and beta testing.
  • Monitor systems performance. Monitor application usage and storage, and provide advance warning when thresholds are reached. Provide advice and implementation support to address application high availability issues and requirements.
  • Perform maintenance and software integrations for existing systems.
  • Maintain or exceed compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate OS upgrades, patches, fixes, and testing with data center staff.

Technologies Needed:

  • Windows, Linux, and z/OS operating systems, VMware Tanzu (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), Cold Fusion
  • AWS EKS and related AWS config, Docker, ActiveMQ, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins CI/CD pipeline code, Elasticsearch/Kibana, Vault, Apigee, Prisma Cloud, Splunk, New Relic, PostgreSQL, Kafka.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain public trust clearance
  • Must have a BA/BS at minimum
  • Must have 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
