JOB DESCRIPTION: PROGRAM DIRECTOR
This position is a member of the management team and as such reports directly to the Executive Director. The goal of this position is the effective supervision, management and coordination of all BCRI residential alternative placements including the crisis residential unit, crisis home providers, in-home support workers and other areas to be developed. To support this goal, the following objectives/responsibilities must be achieved.
• Supervision of the day-to-day operations of the residential alternatives including crisis residential units, crisis home providers, and in-home support workers. This involves the general oversight of clinical and administrative issues.
• Direct supervision of the crisis residential counselors and in-home support counselors (including performance evaluations, regular feedback/supervision, etc.)
• Supervise staff to ensure residents' care and documentation meet clinical requirements.
• Conduct periodic performance evaluations and on-going feedback.
• Work with staff to ensure clinical needs of residents are met.
• Ensure staff is qualified and has the appropriate credentialing and privileging.
• Oversight of the scheduling and staffing coverage for the crisis residential unit counselors.
• Providing regular supervision, and training (including monthly meetings).
• Providing additional staffing coverage when necessary.
• Providing daily oversight of the residential unit equipment (telephones, vans, furniture)
• Participating in recruiting, hiring and training of new staff.
• Provide oversite to ensure general oversight of the somatic conditions and psychiatric issues of clients are addressed.
• Monitoring and tracking clinical documentation, service trends and making recommendations regarding service improvements. Lead quality review meetings to review trends and make service recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure all facilities an equipment is monitored and maintained.
• Participating in community educational activities and public relation activities, as required.
• Participating in the Quality Assurance/Improvement committee.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed in accordance with licensing regulations.
• Actively participate in the organization’s professional development program including: regular supervision, training seminars, and community sponsored educational events.
Credentialing/Privileging
This position requires 5 Years of experience in Behavioral Health, or have a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling or Social Work. This individual is responsible to perform duties related to providing clinical support, supervision and health services in accordance with the regulations required by their specific licensing board.
