Happy Tails Resort is currently seeking a professional, experienced groomer. Your approach to grooming dogs must be compassionare, patient and caring with attention to detail.
Responsibilities for Dog Groomer
- Clean the dog's teeth and cut nails
- Maintain an upbeat attitude
- Calm an anxious dog
- Ensure company policies are being followed
- Maintain your appointments and invoices
- Keep a clean and sanitized work area
- Make sure all grooming dogs have up to date required vaccines
- Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need
- Shampoo and wash a dog's hair or fur and empty anal glands
- Create a welcoming environment for dogs and their owners
- Cut or shave a dog's hair or furQualifications for Dog Groomer
- Must have completed a grooming program or have 2 years experience grooming
- Ability to work with other groomers
- Ability to lift dogs that weigh up to 50 pounds or more
- Grooming abilities
- Calming presence to sooth dogs
- Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to pass a background check
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work on a team
