A Day in the Life of an Accounting Coordinator:

This position provides account payable, accounting, and administrative support across the accounting
department. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with many different individuals on a
variety of tasks. This position is best suited for an individual who excels at managing competing
priorities and is able to complete and understand a variety of tasks.

  • Process and code invoices in conjunction with check requests, refund requests and/or expense
    reports
  • Obtain proper signature approvals in accordance with workflow approval levels
  • Correspond with vendors – answers inquiries and verifying balances
  • Liaise with all departments and levels of management to resolve issues or discrepancies
  • Assist in monthend close preparation, preparing and analyzing accounts and/or reports as
    requested
  • Prepare spreadsheets based on financial data received from thirdparties
  • Scan, file, and maintain various corporate accounting, vendor, and tax documents
  • Manage the hotel reservation payment process
  • Team with accounting professionals to complete ad hoc tasks and special projects

What You’ll Need:

  • Accounting degree or progress towards degree
  • Office experience within an accounting environment preferred
  • Understanding of basic accounting concepts and desire to learn
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Must be able to multitask in addition to being detailoriented and organized
  • Must be reliable, punctual and selfmotivated
