We are currently seeking a Virtual Sales Support Rep and Outreach/Business Development Rep, working as an independent contractor.
You can work from anywhere as long as you have the tools and work environment necessary to carry out professional business interaction by phone, text, email, LinkedIn, etc. You can set your own hours to complete tasks, however some work would require activity during normal business hours EST.
You will be reporting to an on-the-road Independent Sales Rep (commission only) selling specialized heavy industrial tools who travels to customers and demonstrate the equipment on a daily basis.
Supporting sales efforts by:
- Appointment setting
- Snail mailing brochures
- Working on a CRM to maintain customer files (Currently using Pipedrive)
- Occasional handling of quick orders for customers.
Sample of activity desired:
DAILY Outreach goal 80 +/-outbound contact attempts (calls, email, voicemail, texts, LinkedIn messages)
DAILY minimum 10-12 live touches (live responses from contacts that... return email, return calls & texts, have a phone conversation, LinkedIn replies)
Setting 7-10 face to face meetings/presentations per week.
All activity will be required to be entered into the CRM for tracking and compensation purposes.
Scripts are already set up. Training would involve an overview of the target industries served and the key personnel we pursue for meetings. It's also not 100% cold calling. Many of the leads are warm prospects or prior customers.
- Pay is based on performance and you would be issued a 1099.
- Pay will be based on the number of quality appointments set per month that result in sales.
- Potential base fee for tasks accomplished (verified through the CRM), plus a bonus based on sales closed from appointments set.
Due to the sensitive nature of this business (customers in military, nuclear, other defense/government contractors) a non-disclosure agreement is required and you must be willing to submit to a background check.
