We are looking for a focused and efficient UI Designer to join our creative team and help build the brand across all digital touch-points. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the creative and digital team on a variety of projects, ranging from email campaigns, site pages, landing pages, checkout funnels, digital ads and more. This ideal candidate pushes the limit on design while understanding platform, user experience, campaign goals and digital design best practices. S/he is detail oriented, motivated, and works well under pressure. This position reports directly to the Creative Director while partnering with the development team for implementation, A/B testing and QC.
Design and execute digital creative assets including, but not limited to email marketing, digital advertising (display, search, and paid social), website (landing pages and overall UI)
Tell actionable visual stories with a focus on great user experience
Consider all the visual, interactive elements of a product interface—including buttons, icons, spacing, typography, color schemes, and responsive design
Collaborate with key stakeholders in other departments - acquisition, retention, product, and brand
Adhere to the demands of a production and marketing schedule and be aware of release schedules
Work closely with the UX, Creative Director, Brand Director, Copywriter and Development teams to create strategically sound, user-centric and exceptional design
Nitty gritty production tasks: organizing and creating production assets, resizing assets for different devices,
Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce the brand’s style and voice. Help establish digital/web guidelines.
Work with digital team to get the best results through testing (A/B testing experience)
Checkout funnel optimization
Any other duties assigned by management
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or experience that is equivalent to that degree
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in direct to consumer
A demonstrated understanding of checkout funnel optimization
Crux of experience in web and mobile app design (optional); experience in DTC e-commerce space (subscription services a plus)
Mobile first mentality.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Solid understanding of digital design principles, best practices and user experience
Strong typography, layout, and visual design skills. Detail oriented with the ability to design and think of out of the box to problem solve user interactions
Experience with transitions, animation, motion design, and dynamic interaction.
Working knowledge of sitemaps, user flows, wireframes and the ability to communicate your designs to developers.
Be a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with developers, copywriters and UX designers.
Expertise with standard digital design tools, including Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, InVision, etc
Photo and video editing expertise
Strong knowledge of current digital design best practices and web production techniques
Experience with user-centered design, rapid prototyping, and user testing
Strong portfolio showing the breadth of digital design capabilities
Passion for wellness and/or beauty is a plus
