We're looking for an LA-based creative photographer to join HUM Nutrition part-time (2-3 days/week). This role will focus on concepting, planning, shooting and retouching photography for all HUM assets, including packshots, brand, content, social, blog, etc.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, is self-motivated and highly organized with commitment to outstanding creative. We’re looking for someone to build upon our current brand and amplify storytelling across all channels.
Strong interest / experience in beauty, wellness and pop culture is a plus!
Concept, create and deliver stunning visual content for all HUM assets: instagram, blog, website, ecomm, digital ads, print and more.
Deliver exceptional creative output with a commitment to quality and brand consistency
Prepare and execute shoots (in studio or on location) in collaboration with Brand, Marketing and Content teams
Lead pre-production and shoot planning, including location scouting, prop styling, shot lists, etc
Identify and collaborate with additional creative resources as needed (i.e. food stylist, wardrobe, hair and make up, casting)
Execute photo assignments upholding brand standards in style, light, color, composition, props.
Ensure that the look and feel of the all photography is consistent across all channels
Explore new, fun and creative ways to visually bring HUM’s product story to life (ingredients, routine, lifestyle, etc)
Deliver final retouched photo assets for all marketing use
Work closely with the Creative Director/Brand Director/Social media strategist to plan photo needs and specs
Implement a process to help teams keep track of photo requests and delivered assets. Create an intuitive and logical way to organize content on google drive
Create mood boards and concept ideas for new product launches, seasonal campaigns, social content, brand partnerships, and more
Help shape the future look of our photography/visual assets
Bonus: ability to create stop motion, animated gifs, and short videos
Minimum 3-5 years photography experience for social and ecomm. Events, retail and commercial experience is a plus
Comfortable in a constantly evolving environment and fast paced deadlines
Experience in planning, styling and executing photo shoots
Clear and effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of commercial studio & location lighting/equipment.
Owns camera, lenses and basic photography equipment (special requests can be rented)
Experience shooting both table-top product, lifestyle, and on model photography
Awareness of contemporary trends in photography and fashion.
Current portfolio mandatory for consideration
Must have strong post-production skills in photoshop, capture one, lightroom
