Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

G&J Pepsi-Cola is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager. This position will have an active role in providing segment reporting of monthly financial data, budgeting, financial and sales forecasting with a focus on process improvement. The candidate will also be the leader of finance for a business segment, and as a true business partner must be able to facilitate ideas on new courses of action. The candidate needs to effectively work with sales and finance leadership to help coordinate and drive customer results. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, customer facing, demonstrates high degree of integrity, ability to leverage technology, such as Power Bl, and the ability to multi-task effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Partner with the assigned segment to create active financial reporting.
  • Manage and assist in coordinating annual financial budgets with cross functional teams such as Retail Sales, Marketing, Foodservice, Operation, and Backoffice; includes budgeting revenues, cost of goods sold, headcount, payroll and other operating expenses for the entire organization.
  • Analyze actual financial results vs budget and prepare variance reporting to functional groups.
  • Create and Collaborate with Sales Channel to analyze new business opportunities.
  • Calculate and Maintain analysis of POST AUDIT for existing contracts, using IRR model to ascertain sell through ratios and viability of the account. Provide insights into developing profitability in the account  
  • Assist with preparation of annual financial plan
  • Support functional groups with P&L questions and answers within assigned business segments
  • Create and update financial reports on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis and present the information to leadership teams.
  • Calculate and distribute supplemental financial reports to the organization
  • Look for opportunities to improve process or reduce operating costs
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, pricing and product costs, customer information, and other sensitive and confidential information.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, accounting, economics or related field required; advanced degree or certification a plus (MBA, CPA, CMA or CFA).
  •  5+ years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment; ideal candidate would have plant accounting experience in a  manufacturing company.
  • Proven strong quantitative and analytical skills, including demonstrating experience identifying, defining and resolving complex problem, and interpreting data to establish facts and draw valid conclusions to provide effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills with ability to convey complex information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Capable of working independently with little direction from management; self-motivated
  • Capable of quickly learning new technology and business applications
  • Individual must be able to traveling to facilities, customer locations, and venues to understand and respond to Customer needs within the G&J territories.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel Pivot Tables required; ability to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel functions, such as VLOOKUP and IFF statements required Knowledge of Power Bl applications a plus
  • Facility with ERP programs such as Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
