Social Media Marketing Coordinator

Job Description

The Social Media Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, and Sales teams to expand company social media accounts, connect with consumers, and improve brand awareness. This includes developing a social media calendar, strategically designing and curating engaging content, interacting with users to answer product questions, and monitoring SEO and analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and curate engaging platform-specific content (primarily: Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube)
  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photographic content for online initiatives
  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels
  • Collaborate with marketing team to create and execute a social media calendar
  • Interact with users and respond to social media and website messages, inquiries, and comments. This includes coordinating between the customer service and product development teams as necessary to answer product questions and escalate to technical support as necessary
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends
  • Track and assess analytics reports to gain insight on traffic and engagement; use this information to improve future content and campaigns
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications

Required Education, Credentials and Experience:

  • College degree preferred
  • Knowledge and expertise with multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to develop text, image, and video content
  • Experience with Google Analytics (Google Analytics Certified preferred), keyword research and SEO; able to interpret the results and take action to increase content/campaign effectiveness
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (primarily: Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Experience with electronics products preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience required
