The Senior Manager, Global Omni-Channel & Marketing Communications will manage 1-2 direct reports and report to the Global Director, Omni-Channel Marketing and Content Strategy in our client's Medical/Pharmaceutical Systems organization and will collaborate closely with our Portfolio and Regional marketing teams, cross functional associates and corporate communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development and implementation of outstanding, global strategic marketing communications plan for global business (including but not limited to branding, strategic campaigns, advertising and publication plans, tradeshows, press releases...) collaborating with key collaborators to determine efficient mix to achieve business goals
Develop and execute strategic omni-channel campaigns crafting customer awareness and engagement. Knowledge of content marketing, digital advertising, social media, organic and paid search (SEO), and web content preferred.
Write internal and external communications including crisis management and press releases – in collaboration with corporate communications – and handle approval processes
Lead the development of tradeshow and conference strategies with marketing associates; make recommendations as to which shows to attend; ensure alignment with business and marketing objectives. Lead Steering Committee meetings and tradeshow planning teams and ensure they are adequately staffed and engaged.
Develop creative briefs and review concepts to ensure effective alignment with business goals and marketing objectives.
Lead cross-functional teams (e.g. creative agencies, marcomm and marketing associates, etc.) to execute initiatives strategically and tactical plans.
Provides project leadership, coordination and communication around project status with clients; identifying opportunities to collaborate with internal resources/departments; and supports overall project flow between stakeholders.
Maintain ongoing relationships with global and regional marketers, ensuring communication plans and deliverables are aligned to objectives, strategies and core messages
Build and maintain relationships with key departments (platforms, regions and functions, brand office, web team, trademark and corporate communications).
QUALIFICATIONS
BS or BA degree in communication, marketing or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of meaningful work experience (with people management experience) in a pharma/biotech or med device company strongly preferred
Experience successfully creating, launching, evolving and/or refreshing a brand
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful communication strategies
Proven effective campaign development (awareness and/or lead generation) and execution (online – including digital advertising/social/web…and offline) with metrics
Experience in leading all aspects of creative development from creative strategy, draft iterations, copy approval, production to distribution
Track record of recommending new tradeshows/publications/channels to expand reach
Effective tradeshow strategy development and management
Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
Experience managing a budget
Experience setting expectations, managing performance, removing obstacles, inspiring, and developing associates/direct reports
Customer-focused; understands and is responsive to customer needs
Comfortable balancing projects at once; multi-tasking/interpersonal skills
up to 20% international travel required
