Business Development and Sales Account Manager, Lateral Flow Assay

TERRITORY- EASTERN US + TEXAS
Proven proactive developer of new business relationships and account development in the lateral flow community
Responsible for developing and implementing business development strategies to expand product sales within the Fortis Nanoparticle and Lateral Flow Assay (LFA) portfolio for the RUO, IVD and OEM customer base.
Ability to understand customer needs for bulk catalogue products, customized products and custom services in the LFA and medical device arena.
Will work closely with LFA development scientists and production scientists to ensure the customer has the technical support needed to demonstrate product value.
Will leverage existing connections with the LFA community to facilitate referral-based lead generation for the Fortis Nanoparticle and Lateral Flow Assay (LFA) portfolio.
Collaborate with product management and the internal scientific support team to identify and develop marketing assets that will enrich the selling process and Fortis/NCX brand awareness.
Will work with internal technical teams to rapidly deliver high quality proposals to the customer.
Will work with project managers to ensure that projects remain on track and to provide accurate forecasting.
Will report quarterly sales results and provide weekly forecast updates.
Biology degree or science-related industry background.
Proven track record of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales in the lateral flow assay development space.
Established network of contacts in LFA and diagnostic companies.
Ability to rapidly integrate with San Diego based R&D teams. Being local to San Diego is preferred but not required.
Track-record of being self-driven to accomplish sales goals in team setting.
Previous CRM experience (Sales Force).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Territory is East Coast but base city is not limiting factor.
