We are looking for a Business Development and Sales Account Manager to support our Diagnostic Portfolio. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and new business development accounts within North America. Building new business development opportunities and relationships within the respective territory to expand product sales within our molecular and molecular diagnostics portfolio. Responsibility would be to sell catalog products and custom assay development services for the RUO, IVD, OEM and White-Label customer base.

Building new business development opportunities and relationships within the respective territory to expand product sales within the molecular and molecular diagnostics portfolio.
Responsibility would be to sell catalogue products and custom assay development services for the RUO, IVD, OEM and White-Label customer base.
Ability to comprehend and communicate customer product and instrument platform need to the Field application specialist and R&D team.
Examples of the molecular diagnostics portfolio include enzymes and reagents for PCR/qPCR, isothermal amplification, reverse transcription, supporting mastermix components such as RNase-inhibitor, Proteinase K, dNTP, NGS Sample Preparation and Library Preparation and full-kitted solutions for qPCR or NGS.
Examples of the Immuno Diagnostic portfolio and molecular portfolio include antibodies, recombinant protein production such as streptavidin, horseradish peroxidase, cytokines/growth factors etc.
Products are produced under RUO or cGMP/ISO13485 certification.
Business development will require the ability to support a “sample evaluation” workflow between customer and internal R&D team.
Responsibility will be to communicate direct product need and custom assay development need as a project manager from customer to internal team to move projects forward using a structured process with multiple pro-actively scheduled touchpoints.
Key accounts and business development activity for new account development will be supported by the Americas Director of Business Development an internal technical team composed of FAS and R&D.
Set customer guidelines and expectations on new product sample evaluations timelines to ensure in-quarter forecasting when available.
Create customer quotes for direct product and customized orders.
Understand unique market needs to build strategic action items that will expand company influence and expand product sales within the molecular and molecular diagnostics portfolio. Work with the field application scientist (FAS) team to co-coordinate application support to customers.
Report quarterly sales results and forecasts during quarterly business reviews.
Use customer database to research account and sales history that will drive revenue growth in net new customer base and expansion within existing accounts.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management team, which may not be listed above, that are necessary to accomplish our goal of improving lives by supporting scientific discovery.
Biology degree or science-related industry background.
Proven track record of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales in the life science industry.
Technical sales background with assay development focus in DNA-related applications is additional preference.
Track-record of being self-driven to accomplish sales goals in team setting.
Previous CRM experience (Sales Force).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
