Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer (Q.E.) is responsible for determining production standards for a company’s products by establishing quality control systems and setting product requirement rules. Job duties include identifying the specifications for an ideal product, determining an appropriate level of variation and monitoring quality assurance rates. Q.E. will also assist operations staff in understanding the requirements to meet job specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

· Reviews design plans, process procedures, test procedures and quality manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and function of products.

· Ensures processes adhere to quality standards.

· Supports product development or operations teams by providing analysis and expertise throughout design and inspection processes.

· Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or non-conformance, with the goal of mitigating/preventing recurrence.

· Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.

· Presents data to operations team in order to show trends and communicate cost of quality.

· Recommends and/or implements corrective measures.

· Presents corrective action reports to customers, as needed.

· Assist with creation and revision of ISO procedures.

· Performs other job duties as assigned by QA/QC Manager.

· Capable of reading plans, drawings, schematics, specifications, and work orders to determine inspection needs

Education and Experience Requirements:

· 6 years of Quality Control and/or Assurance within manufacturing, fabrication, or applicable field required.

· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent industry certifications) in engineering or quality preferred.

· Background of working within an ISO (or equivalent industry) certified company.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting, standing, or walking.

· Work conditions may include areas of restricted movement, air contamination, intense noise, and hazardous materials.

· Must be able to regularly lift to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
