WHAT YOU'LL DO:


Key Responsibilities in Launch:

  • Client rollouts, configurations and deployments
  • Development and implementation of customisations and minor bespoke changes as required on each deployment

Key Responsibilities in Development Ops:

  • Logging & reporting
  • Deployments
  • Environments
  • Continuous Integration tooling and management

Key Responsibilities in Support & Incident Management:

  • Supporting the Incident Manager in investigation of issues raised through the support desk or potential outages and degradations in performance by looking at the following:
    • Environments & Deployments
    • Looking at logs and reports
    • Database deployment
    • Server deployment
    • Identifying if an architecture / infrastructure issue or a bug in the code base
    • Retailer Configurations
      • Validating set up of retailer
    • User Configurations
      • Validating data and dependencies
  • Reproduce and end to end test
    • API response
    • Back end function
    • Mobile / Web app behaviour issue
  • Resolve issues with back end code base
    • Develop, test and fix locally (with QA support) then deploy


Requirements


  • University degree in a technical subject, preferably computer science
  • Experience of developing in a commercial environment, ideally at a startup or tier-1 digital agency
  • Proficient in JavaScript/Node.JS using TypeScript
  • Experienced in MongoDB
  • Preferably a working knowledge of Elastic Search and Parse
  • Experience of managing back end tools such as AWS
  • Ideally experience of using Jira for workflow and defect management is preferred
  • Live and breathe the latest in engineering while continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to increase development efficiency and product impact
  • The ability to collaborate and work with stakeholders from across the business
  • Experience of working with global teams
