Business Operations Manager for Education and Nutrition Services

 

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance, the Business Operations Manager for Education and Nutrition will support the administrative functions of both Education and Nutrition Services. The primary responsibilities will include billing, collections, and analysis of business results, in addition to other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance. Below is a detailed list of responsibilities by program.

  

RESPONSIBILITIES

Education:

·       Responsible for all Heritage Education Program family billing, compliance and communication (i.e., delinquent accounts, billing concerns, etc.).

·       Prepare and reconcile weekly reports on family account balances and compile AR reports for the Director of Finance.

·       Ensure child and family information is entered accurately and on time in all systems (i.e., ProCare Child Care Software, PA Pelican Provider Self-Service, etc.) and provide reports as needed

·       Assist in processing monthly billing and reporting for tuition and fees, and contractual programs such as Early Head Start, Head Start, and PreK Counts.

·       Provide and analyze reports and statistics to management for education-related purposes when requested.

·       Assist Education Department with program purchasing.

 

Nutrition:

·       Responsible for the administrative functions of Nutrition Services including counting and claiming in PEARS system.

·       Design and analyze cost and efficiency measures through data gathering and analytics.

·       Oversee CACFP income qualification determinations, communicate qualification to Education sites, and maintain Student Income Qualification database.

·       Provide and analyze reports and metrics to management for nutrition-related purposes when requested

·       Assist Nutrition Services with program purchasing

 

  

 QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
  • Proficiency with Excel/MS Word and Windows environment.
  • 3+ years with billing and collection experience.
  • Experience with menu costing, inventory and production preferred.
  • Ability to operate within billing and accounts receivable systems, ProCare, Pelican and PA PEARS preferred. 
  • Current FBI, Child Abuse, National Sex Offender and State Criminal Background clearances or be able to attain all clearances within 30 days of hire.
  • Current health assessment and TB test.  
  • Ability to frequently lift or move weight as in lifting, carrying, or holding children 20+ lbs.

Heritage is the only human services nonprofit in the Commonwealth designated as a provider of public transportation. More than 100,000 meals are served each year by our Nutrition Services, which provides solutions in meal planning, ordering, preparation and delivery while creating healthy options for youth and senior populations.
