Job Description

The Field Maintenance Technician performs a variety of routine maintenance for business facilities, ensures they are consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical trades work. Operates a variety of maintenance and cleaning tools and equipment. Hand tools, power tools, and a vehicle capable of transporting a 4 foot by 8-foot section of drywall is expected to be provided by the Regional Maintenance Technician. Mileage will be reimbursed at the current federal rate for all travel outside of the technician's home store.

This role will be travelling between two stores in Wichita, one in Manhattan, and one in Topeka. The schedule will consist of four shifts that are ten hours each. Occasionally travel will be extended to assist stores in Lawrence and Kansas City.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Assists in Quality Control (QC) duties of on-site vendors and sub-contractors.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and assisting in the preventative maintenance of all equipment and building infrastructure across assigned territories.
  • Document, report, and photograph repairs or project complications to be further reviewed by Facilities Manager and Director of Facilities.
  • Review ongoing facilities work orders to prioritize items to ensure continued operations across all assigned entities.
  • Inventory, organize, and maintenance company provided tools, equipment, and assigned company vehicles.
  • Collaborate with General Manager's across all business entities on requested work orders to better define scope, timing, and material needed.


Qualifications
  • 3-5 years hands-on related experience in maintenance or construction with related responsibilities
  • Experience utilizing photos and applicable maintenance software work order systems
  • Strong experience with Office Suite and other web-based software applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management skills, organizational skills, and ability to be punctual
