The Information Technology Department works closely with internal and external business partners using their subject matter expertise to strategically invest in information systems and infrastructure across the enterprise. Flexible and adaptive to customer needs, the Information Technology Team takes a broad view of the HAI Group enterprise; contributing research and development to strengthen and add value to business operations. The Application Development Manager will oversee the application development team and support the design and delivery of solutions to meet HAI Group business needs. The Application Development Manager will be responsible for all phases of the application development lifecycle. This individual should have a solid understanding of the agile process. They will need to establish and refine application development and delivery standards and practices for the delivery of high-quality application solutions.
The Application Development Manager is able to identify and institute “best practices” at a strategic level – providing leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development. They will need to properly balance efforts across multiple projects within an Agile environment. The Application Development Manager will also provide direction for the day to day support of HAI Group’s enterprise production applications.
The individual in this position will be a key driver in HAI Group’s transition to a new set of platforms and solutions. These solutions will include a mix of internally developed software and third-party solutions. The successful individual will be able to delve deep into existing applications to help with application support and be a guide and collaborator for our transformation. This individual will need to evaluate third party software, propose integration solutions and work with vendors. They will need the ability to effectively collaborate with business teams and analysts help guide the team to design appropriate solutions for the future.

Manages a team of developers within a SAFe Agile environment to iteratively design, develop, test and deliver quality solutions.
Provides coaching, mentorship and training to direct reports while supporting the team, when needed, in all areas of the development lifecycle. Participates collaboratively with scrum team and product owners to groom initiatives, epics and stories.
Collaborates with business leads and product owners to negotiate priorities and communicate progress; interfaces with customers demonstrating strong interpersonal, customer service, problem solving, and leadership skills as well as effective communication at all staff levels.
