Overall Job Function: Provides an excellent shopping experience for & Other Stories customers including: product knowledge, customer service, merchandising routines and garment maintenance. Responsible for providing stylist advice to customers, giving the highest level of personal customer service to individual shoppers, and driving sales according to & Other Stories standards that leads to a profitable high customer service store. Job Responsibility including but not limited to: Customer Service Provides excellent direct and indirect customer service according to & Other Stories standards on the sales floor, in the fitting room and at the cash point. Greets every customer and engages all customers in conversation to provide a welcoming environment. Ability to provide detailed product knowledge of garments and is a brand ambassador at all times. Creates a shopping experience for every customer that is easy, inspiring, and productive that results in high sales and extreme customer satisfaction Proactively approaches customers to fill out & Other Stories client database cards to enable follow up communication with the customers. Directly calls customers to inform them of new merchandise, promotions, etc. Answers phones courteously and promptly Aware of store goals and sales figures. Job Knowledge Actively works with garments, including processing, stocking, replenishing, folding, hanging, displaying and merchandising per & Other Stories guidelines to maximize selling opportunities Rings on the register, reports and handles all required transactions Packs garments for customers according to & Other Stories high standards including proper folding, wrapping in tissue paper, stickering and placement in shopping bag Unloads delivery truck, receives, opens and unpacks merchandise and labels merchandise with security tags Executes replenishment pick list consistently throughout the day to ensure full inventory on the sales floor Has knowledge of all & Other Stories related product details including fabric types, washing instructions, garment fits, etc. Ensures garments care is met according to & Other Stories high standards Efficiency Executes reductions, price changes, transfers and cash register routines. Utilizes established & Other Stories policies and procedures to assist in loss prevention and safety for the store and partners with store management as needed Team Player Works effectively with team members to ensure the sales floor, cash point, fitting rooms and stockroom are clean and well maintained per & Other Stories standards Partners with team members to ensure customers receive the best customer service and shopping environment Adheres to & Other Stories values and internal standards policies, and procedures contained in the & Other Stories Employee Handbook Assists in training new Sales Advisors to obtain high level of customer service focus Financial Accountability: None Minimum Candidate Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent preferred At least 6 months of experience in direct customer service, retail industry preferred Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool Competencies: Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to recognize and execute selling opportunities Ability and willingness to run a cash register Excellent communication and organizational skills Lively interest and knowledge in fashion and design trends Passion and drive for retail industry Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment Ability to take initiative to complete tasks and solve problems Ability to meet deadlines Ability to manage time and prioritize Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends Job Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly (Part-Time or Full-Time) EEOC Classification: SLS
