RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a cold calling strategy to target prospects
  • Assist consultants by mining existing clients for referral business
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with accountants, lawyers and other business partners
  • Reach or exceed assigned sales goals
  • Implement sales strategies
  • Connect customers' business needs with H&H services
  • Build network in person, via phone and email with key decision makers in a designated territory

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Understanding of ERISA laws and retirement products/services in the qualified and nonqualified retirement plan environment
  • Experience in sales environment with proven track record
  • Highly effective communication skills - oral, written and group
  • Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing clients
  • Organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a semi-autonomous, fast-paced environment
  • Analytical skills to understand complex retirement plan strategies and pricing
  • Ability to travel 10%-20%, mostly in-state with minimal overnight required
  • Motivated, self-starter with the interest to learn new information quickly and independently
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and various file manipulation skills on a PC
  • This position does not require that incumbents attain and maintain current state insurance license
