Gunnison is seeking energetic and dedicated team member to join our Corporate finance team. We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst.

Gunnison Consulting Group is a venture capital backed firm delivering cutting-edge solutions in software development, data analytics, ITSM and cybersecurity who is looking to add a corporate Sr. Financial Analyst. This role will work closely with the Business Leaders, the Chief Executive Officer, and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will interact with all levels of management including the Executive Leadership Team. Ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of government contract financial analysis experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and analyze financial data including corporate budgets, income statement forecasts, and balance sheet analysis
  • Monitor budgets monthly by updating with actuals and forecasting future months and analyzing/reporting trends proactively to CFO
  • Support corporate M&A and strategy activity from opportunity screening through due diligence and integration planning
  • Develop financial forecasts, primarily bottoms-up "waterfall" revenue buildup
  • Experience in understanding indirect rate structure; including monitoring and forecasting
  • Validate all final indirect rates for respective fiscal years and their effects on the total claimed costs
  • Support preparation efforts of incurred cost submission for relevant schedules to final settled costs and billing adjustments
  • Review contract documents, terms & conditions and other pertinent details that impact billing and project value
  • Support Monthly Operations Review of all programs
  • Support and analyze company-wide employee compensation plan structure
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  • Identify trends, advise the company and recommend actions to a senior leadership based on sound analysis
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Support pricing for new bid opportunities
  • Responsible for ad hoc reporting requests in support of Finance team


  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred
  • Ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of government contract financial analysis experience.
  • Deltek Costpoint or GCS experience is a plus
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
  • Strong organizational skills to manage overall project tracking and progress
  • Self-motivated and strong communication skills
  • Strong to expert level Excel skills a must
  • Familiarity with FAR
