EXPERIENCED AUTOMOTIVE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

The purpose of the Accounts Payable Clerk is to ensure that all vendor invoices are paid accurately and in a timely manner, and accounts payable records are kept organized and up to date.

JOB-SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Computer literate; accurate with 10- key pad and typing
  2. Self motivated, able to effectively prioritize tasks and organize schedule
  3. Full knowledge of automotive ADP / CDK accounting (ONLY)
  4. Good interpersonal and oral communication skills
  5. Previous accounts payable experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Aggressively and cheerfully perform or insure performance of any and all activities necessary to imporve and maintain the highest possible Dealership Customer Satisfaction level.
  2. Post vendor invoices into accounting accurately and PO's or requistions attached.
  3. Balance vendors to statements and accounts payable schedule and write checks at month end.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Issue PO's for advertising, gas and vendors.
  2. Provide assistance to management, other departments and employees as requested.
  3. File all accounting correspondence in porper files in a timely manner.
  4. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM PERFORMANCE STANDARDS / ACCOUNTABILITY:
  1. All vendor bills paid promptly and accurately, with no accounts being past due.
  2. All request for assistance and information and handled quickly and courteously.
