Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.

1. Provide expertise related to the assessment, review, revision, and approval process for 3rd party contracts.

2. Provide direct interface with legal, vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective management of contract process.

3. Support process for assessment of contract templates required and guidance related to development

4. Draft and revise document templates in compliance with company requirements

5. Coordinate the company strategy for indemnification and commercial contracts between corporate and field locations.

6. Participate in and guide efforts for process improvement and management of contracting process.

7. Support training and develop a structure for effective comprehensive contract retention and accessibility.

8. Support and promote the effective and proper use of processes and company sanctioned tools related to contracts and contract management

9. Promote awareness and competence in the organization through training and communication of the program

10. Support sourcing supplier performance and relationship management programs related to service level agreements and commercial contract management.

11. Develop and maintain a professional network with business partners, colleagues and the supply base.

12. Develop and implement personal goals and objectives.

13. Provide leadership and mentoring within the commercial organization.

Required Education & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related field.

2. Three (3) to six (6) years in contract negotiation-related experience preferred.

3. Experience with revenue and sales contracting are highly preferred.

4. Experience in related engineering discipline is preferred.

5. Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting related industry.

Working Conditions:

1. Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment and be able to attend meetings at various sites within and away from office.

2. Mobility to climb up and down stairs, as needed.

3. Strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

4. Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, including the ability to look at a computer screen for at least eight hours each day.

5. Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

6. Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

Necessary Equipment Operation:

1. Office equipment, including telephone, fax machine, scanner, computer, printer.

1. Technical Skills: Legal training and strong skills related to contract preparation, review, assessment, and management

2. Decision Making: Ability to determine situations requiring independent action using own judgment and involving additional parties as required.

3. Assertiveness: Must be capable of identifying opportunities and drive improvements in process and controls.

4. Strong Communication Skills: Job requires strong communication and presentation skills with focus on promoting opportunities at all management levels.
