Position Summary: Warehouse Manager AVDG

At AVDG we consider each of our regional warehouses to be a well-oiled machine, driven by our “customer first” mentality.  To deliver on our promise to our clients, we count on exceptionally talented, sharp, and committed individuals.  We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team at the main warehouse at Headquarters.  This professional multitasker will manage and oversee activities in the warehouse and all facets including receiving, processing, recording, and distributing all supplies and materials; preparing and maintaining detailed records and files, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn.  The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to track multiple facts of the warehouse at any given time including items for install and service.  You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfillment of millions of product orders every year.  You will also work with accounting to account for job costs and equipment procurement and use automated systems for entry, tracking, and reporting.   

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Confer with the Branch Manager to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, records control, or purchasing to ensure warehouse operates at peak efficiency and managing operation goals
  • Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Responsible for the organization of the warehouse and implementation of safety and security programs and activities
  • Oversee the accuracy of shipping and routing information provided to ensure that delivery specifics are coordinated
  • Review invoices, work orders, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and issue work assignments to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Evaluates warehouse materials (e.g. qualified product list, warehouse supplies, office supplies, etc.) to maintaining quality and supply
  • Conducts and participates in physical inventories to verify stock and identifying losses.
  • Participates in loads and unloads delivery trucks in receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.
  • Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g. purchase orders, goods receipts, electronic delivery logs, supplies needed by the department, claim forms, inventory, warehouse reports, bid list, material evaluation documents, goods receipts, goods issue, fixed asset, purchases, etc.) documenting activities, providing materials and reliable resource information when requested by management

To join our band, you’ll need the following experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of Warehouse Management experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the Audio-Visual industry or another related area highly preferred
  • Previous experience working with Inventory Analysis required
  • Intermediate knowledge of warehouse systems, processes, and productivity standards required
  • Ability to count accurately and be detailed oriented
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Previous experience operating a forklift required
  • Must be a team player, highly motivated with a positive attitude
