Sr. Email Marketing & Analytics Specialist

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to drive brand recognition and revenue across the enterprise via CRM tactics, particularly email and mobile marketing. The focus of this position will include quality assurance, A/B testing, campaign strategy and planning (under guidance of the Senior Manager) and campaign project management. Holds a solid understanding of customer service principles and the importance of providing an excellent customer experience. Acts with the customer in mind, focusing on executing effective email strategies that resonate with customers and encourage customers to connect with the brand. Understands the impact of job functions on the end customer experience. Provides a high level of service to internal customers such as ( Brand, creative services, and MSC teams)

In addition, solid understanding of Customer Relationship Marketing principles and methods. Provides valuable assistance to supervisor with email campaign strategy, planning and scheduling in order to optimize contact and maximize revenue potential through customer acquisition and retention. Designs, develops, and executes email tests focuses on subscription and revenue growth. Has skilled understanding of email best practices, including subject lines, messaging, html/text, deliverability, and applicable legislation. Ensures quality of all work output to flawlessly execute email campaigns. (Drive database collection and establish a deep understanding of Guitar Center customers for utilization within CRM campaigns. Develop segmentation strategies within CRM tools to increase customer engagement and retention.)

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Campaign & Database Management
  • Segmentation

  • Customer communication (marketing & transactional)
  • Routing & approvals
  • Ad hoc requests
  • Drive database collection and establish a deep understanding of Guitar Center customers for utilization within CRM campaigns.
  • Develop segmentation strategies within CRM tools to increase customer engagement and retention.)
  • Analysis & Reporting
  • Specific campaign analysis
  • Weekly reporting
  • Daily reporting
  • Presentation of results to stakeholders and upper management
  • Extract data from the company's core business intelligence database (MicroStrategy) using SQL or other methods and perform analysis that results in actionable business insight, in support of key business initiatives.
  • Prepare and present email analysis, trending and other findings on a monthly basis to management teams.
  • Research hot topics, industry trends, success stories and other information that will improve email results)
  • Additional duties as assigned.
