Business Intelligence Manager

Job Description

The Manager, Business Intelligence will manage an existing catalogue of automated reporting, and to lead the transformation of high-level business requirements into reporting solutions, primarily managing requirements definition/documentation and UAT/Validation of new reporting objects.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Work with business customers to understand, develop and document new reporting and dashboard requirements
  • Develop and evolve new automated reports and dashboards to meet business user needs
  • Manage a catalog of existing automated reports utilizing SQL, advanced Excel and Visual Basic
  • Direct business customers to primarily use MicroStrategy as a business intelligence tool for addressing data requests and analytics
  • Manage and develop associates within the Business Intelligence department
  • Perform user acceptance testing and/or validation of newly created objects, reports, metrics, etc. to prevent material misstatements or misuse of business data
  • Coach other business users to adopt good Business Intelligence practices
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved timelines
  • Additional duties as assigned

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience), preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
  • 6 years of relevant work experience (in addition to degree or years of previous experience), preferably with qualitative/quantitative analytics experience in a retail environment
  • 2 years of experience leading teams
  • 1 years of MicroStrategy experience (reporting, development, and/or design)
  • Intermediate understanding of database design
  • Intermediate proficiency working SQL and MS Visual Basic (VBA)
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft office suite
