DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct intervention and assessment services to individuals and families. Responsible for maintenance of records for clients and program. These records will be documented in accordance with CYFD, Medicaid and contract standards. Provide consultation, staffing, education and life skills training, as needed. Will work with Clinical supervisor of TLR to develop and implement specialized programming for target populations that will include, but not be limited tom safety planning, facilitating visitation, family support, teaching parenting and protective capacity, case management, case inclusion, home visits, assessment, treatment planning and discharge planning. Must have 24-hour a day availability to consumers. Ensure that all billing and recording functions are conducted in compliance with ethical and legal standards. Maintain confidentiality for all information regarding clients, staff, physicians, and GCLC obtained information obtained as a result of employment at the Guidance Center of Lea County. All other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director, or Chief Executive Officer.
LEVEL AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:
Supervised by the Clinical Supervisor over time limited re-unification and the Children’s Clinical Director. Supervision includes two hours per week clinical supervision, participation in monthly general staff meetings, weekly staffing with CYFD and Guidance Center staff with inclusion of others, as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a human service related field. Human Services related is specifically defined as a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Family Services, or Family and Child Science. Staff must also have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in providing family support services or home visiting programs. Employee is responsible for obtaining continuing education to maintain appropriate licensure and to attend in-service training sessions designed to provide training in accordance with GCLC, CYFD and Medicaid Standards. Knowledge of family systems model and various treatment modalities are preferred. New Mexico Licensure is preferred and clear Criminal Records Check is required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is preferred but not required.
