IT Support Specialist: Position Summary

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support for all Team Members either in-person, by phone, by email, or by instant messaging. Support must be provided on an as needed basis, and as soon as possible to avoid downtime. (Onsite and Off-site)
  • Provide fast and accurate solutions to issues that may occur in any software system used by the company.
  • Promptly address system-wide and individual PC operational problems. Alert all staff of IT related disruptions as they arise.
  • Maintain, install, repair, upgrade and configure user-level hardware and software.
  • Assist with server and desktop configuration.
  • Maintain office desktop and laptops by following an imaging process which includes data backup and configurations for new and existing team members.
  • Create and maintain good technical documentation.
  • Keep end user operating systems and applications up to date.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company’s printers and workstations.
  • Implement security procedures based on policies and best practices.
  • Provide audiovisual support that includes audio equipment, video conferencing, external speaker equipment, or other presentation services.
  • Find ways to improve efficiency either by improving on current systems or implementing new systems.
  • Maintain and monitors the Wide Area Network (WAN) connection between multiple sites; use virus protection software and other tools to safeguard the Local Area Network (LAN), as well as company documents and records.
  • Maintain the current document management system, including all database components. Maintain security settings to ensure compliance with regulations such as HIPPA. Create templates and workflows to better manage certain business processes and find new areas where this can be of benefit to the company.
  • Acclimate new team members to our network and provide ad hoc training for new team members.
  • Maintain Virtual Machines as needed.
  • Create and maintain efficient backup systems.
  • Provide weekend and on-call support as required by the position.
  • Create a more complete and more efficient way to keep asset inventory up to date.
  • Work on projects as assigned. Knowledge and Skills:

Education:

College degree; experience in lieu of degree

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in IT or Software related
  • User level support in Office 365 and Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
  • Experience as an Office 365 Admin is a plus
  • Experience with M-files, SQL, and SharePoint are a plus
  • Experience with Document Management Systems

Skills and Competencies:

  • Detail oriented with excellent organization skills.
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as required
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
  • Professional and courteous behavior
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

Physical Requirements:

• 100% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, walking and viewing.
