Job Description

 POSITION SUMMARY - Cook

Responsible for preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, based on work schedule and in compliance with Department of Health Licensing Standards.

POSITION REPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare all served food
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
  • Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
  • Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow established procedures and standards of cleanliness, health and safety
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and appliances

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in teams

POSITION SUMMARY – Food Service Worker

In compliance with licensing standards, perform a variety of tasks in the kitchen and dining area.

POSITION REPONSIBILITIES:

  • Table setting and clearing
  • Serving of daily meals to clients
  • Responsible for sanitary handling of dishes, equipment, and food
  • Perform food preparation tasks as assigned by the Cook on duty
  • Perform such other cleaning, or maintenance duties within the Dietary Department as assigned
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in food service, customer service or other related fields
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
