Guardian Centers of Georgia is a holistic training company for military, security and first responder organizations located in Perry, Georgia. Guardian Centers is seeking an experienced Business Development Operations Manager to support our business development activities and processes, and manage the overall coordination and reporting of ongoing, projected and potential sales opportunities.
The Business Development Operations Manager, herein referred to as “BD-OPS Manager” is responsible for providing general support to the Business Develop organization, it’s personnel, and operations. His/Her responsibilities cover a wide range of duties including project management, quality control, customer service and correspondence, financial review and tracking, internal process coordination, preparation and delivery of marketing material and briefings, and managing/troubleshooting BD tools and resources.
The BD-OPS Manager is a critical component of the BD organization. He/She supports daily BD activities by helping to maintain continuity and situational awareness with all Account Leaders and BD Directors who are frequently on travel meeting with clients, teaming partners and government program leaders. A high-performing BD-OPS manager, in sync with the BD Account Leaders/Directors, ensures the highest operational efficiency of the Sales/Revenue engine of the company. He/She tracks both individual opportunities being pursued by the BD team members as well as the overall performance of the BD organization using multiple metrics of financial value, strategic value, programmatic value, market growth, and account growth over monthly/quarterly/annual periods.
The BD-OPS manager protects the organization and company by keeping proprietary information confidential and appropriately safeguarded. He/She enhances the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and explores opportunities to add value to BD mission, responsibilities and support to our clients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
On a daily basis, the BD-OPS Manager supports the organization by managing overall processes that support all phases of BD, including:
-Identification of Opportunities (supported through managing search programs on government procurement-related databases and reporting sources);
-Supporting BD Account Directors and Program leaders in tracking/maintaining awareness of coordination of requirement statements, rough order of magnitude, request for quotes, and proposals;
-Assisting BD Account Directors, Program leaders and GC financial personnel with internal pricing reviews and coordination;
-Conducting research on contract opportunities, customer and competitor information;
-Taking inputs to support production of weekly reports and status updates and dashboards;
-Tracking pipeline and opportunity status throughout the various stages of our sales cycle;
-Tracking and analysis of multiple types of financial and market data, including sales/revenue performance vs. annual/quarterly projections;
-Work with business development and marketing personnel in support of corporate trade shows and events; and
-Assisting BD Account Directors, Program leaders and other GC BD staff members with the development of briefings for leadership, board meetings, BD meetings, and on occasion, clients and customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A high level of oral and written communication skills is required in order to coordinate effectively with management, professional colleagues/teammates, and industry and government customers. Knowledge of government contracting, acquisition and customer buying processes is preferred. Ability to engage, motivate and collaborate within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary environment is essential.
The BD-OPS Manager shall be PROFICIENT (with the expectation of becoming very proficient) in the use of the following systems/tools:

e. Adobe Standard
It is desired that the BD-OPS Manager have familiarity with (and expected to learn/become very proficient) with the following systems/tools/processes:
a. Financial Reporting
b. Microsoft Power BI
c. Salesforce Lightning Client Relationship Management (CRM)
d. Shipley Government Contracting methods and processes
e. Government Procurement Processes
f. Deltek GovWin IQ (government procurement information system)
g. BETA.SAM.gov (government procurement information system)
h. State level procurement information sites
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Experience with government or private sector financial management
- Business development or sales experience preferred
- PMP Certification Preferred
- Must be a person of integrity with a high level of proficiency.
- Must successfully pass a background check to include access to sensitive information.
- Willingness to take/pass a drug screen as part of the background check
- Must be eligible to receive and hold a security clearance
- Must be a Citizen of the United States in good standing.
- Primary work location is on campus in Perry, Georgia
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours on occasion per requirements of the clients.
- Occasional travel may be required
