Description

Gryphon seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to manage the entire cycle of AP, in addition to working with other members of the Finance Team.

Duties
  • Responsible for all of AP (reviewing and posting entries, entering and maintaining Purchase Orders, completing payments, reconciling AP accounts on Balance Sheet, etc.)
  • Ensures contract and finance compliance on all AP transactions
  • Supervises an AP clerk and works closely with a Budget Analyst and a Proposal and Contracts manager
  • Manages all payroll functions with payroll vendor
  • Maintains corporate Asset tracking spreadsheet and corporate cell phone accounts
  • Assists the VP of Accounting in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and year-end tasks

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  • 8 years of related experience required.
  • Must have experience with Federal Government cost accounting principles including familiarity with the FARS, CAS, and pricing structures under federal contracting vehicles
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with accounting software, ideally Unanet.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
  • US Citizenship (please confirm citizenship)
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
