Leasing Administrator -- 65k NYC

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, reviewing and processing new leases and renewals
  • Managing notices, leases and information
  • Rent payment check review and processing
  • Account monitoring
  • Update tenant and unit rent and bookkeeping information
  • Coordinate legal actions with bookkeeping department
  • Work with Department of Finance on SCRIE and DRIE approvals
  • Lease origination preparation and lease signings in office as necessary
  • Correspond with ownership and management regarding complaints and issues related to renewal leases
  • Update and maintain tenant files and records
  • Monthly arrears report preparation, analysis and review
  • Coordinate legal cases with counsel
  • Court appearances in collection and other L&T cases from time to time
  • Tenant relations/tenant interface and assist in attending to complaints and issues
  • Light general administrative work occasionally
  • Annual duty: rent control rent increase filing preparation, mailing and processing, prep for upcoming annual meetings, Super holiday bonuses, DHCR apartment registrations, occupancy demand notices to tenants, amendment distribution as necessary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Leasing
  • 3+ years' of professional leasing/real estate experience, ideally from a services oriented business
  • 3+ years experience working with rent stabilized apartments in NYC area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
