Gridiron is seeking a Data Visualization Designer for a Federal team in Arlington, VA. In this role, you will: · Support client with graphical content development and data product design · Collaborate with client data scientists, conflict experts and researchers to produce or advise on effective representations of data and analysis to include dashboards, graphs and charts, infographics, maps, network charts, and other interactive and static visualizations as required. · Help client develop targeted content that best depicts insight and optimizes impact and clarity of client analysis and communications. · Develop client branding and implement consistency via style guides and product templates · Key Responsibilities include: · Give data meaning through information visualization / infographics. · Advise on methods to augment and standardize dashboards and visualizations in self-service business intelligence tools: Tableau, R Shiny, ArcGIS. · Create style guides and brand guidelines for team to follow and implement. · Contribute to communication of technical insights to non-technical audiences. · Collaborate closely with analytics and technical teams to verify designs are successfully implemented. Clearance: Secret In order to be caonsidered for this role, you must have: · US Citizenship and an Active Secret Clearance · Bachelor's degree in Visual Design or related field · 2-5 years experience in graphical and user experience design. · Knowledge and experience with design tools like Creative Suite, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, etc. · 2-5 years Experience with data visualization and associated technologies like Tableau, R Shiny, ArcGIS, D3, Kibana · 1-3 years experience supporting giving data meaning through information visualization / infographics. We also prefer you have: · Knowledge of web based technologies and platforms such as Flex, Ajax, Flash, HTML 5, CSS, scripting, etc. · Demonstrable skills in illustration, photography, or diagrammatic expertise and iconography · Understanding of analytics and data science value, methods and outcomes
